Scotland’s energy sector has received a major boost with the opening of a new Skills Academy in Ross Ross-shire to train the next generation of oil, gas and renewables workers. It comes on the same day Spanish renewables giant Gamesa announced it will site its new plant in Leith, creating eight hundred jobs. In other news; The Prime Minister has challenged the First Minister to press ahead with an independence referendum now, calling him “chicken” for delaying the poll. Speaking to the Scottish Conservative party conference in Troon, David Cameron said it was time for the Tories to reclaim the mantle of the patriotic party.
