HARTFORD, Conn. — The union representing workers at a Connecticut beer distributor is speaking out against a website set up by the mother of a man who killed eight employees.
Lillie Holliday has set up a memorial-fund site for her son, Omar Thornton, which solicits donations to fight institutionalized racism.
Thornton, who was black, had blamed racism at work for his shooting rampage in August 2010 at the Hartford Distributors warehouse in Manchester.
