This is a wonderful visit inside the International Space Station. Astronaut Garrett Reisman, Expedition 17 flight engineer, films parts of his day May 7th 2008. Ride along as Reisman narrates the sights and sounds of a “typical” day at 17500 mph 225 miles above the Earth. Our thanks to Garrett for the video, nicely done, and to NASA for making it all possible. See Dr. Reisman on The Colbert Report www.comedycentral.com

Where’s part 3? WHEREEEE
rright above our heads
I just realized that there are people in the ISS right now on Expedition 31
i totally wanna go on the ISS and live there it seems so nice lookin at the world map and then look at earth i hope i can go there when i’m older
that would be awesome. like big brother lol
these are the luckiest people alive.
@watchnasatvcom they should do a 24/7 live stream when they are in space again
Thank you! If you get an answer, my current youtube account is “unparallelshadows”
…or use the iPhone app “skyview” that points out where planets and space stations are located.
That”s a great quesion, I’ll ask Garret when I get the chance. As far as I know he has not been on a spacewalk.
I agree, but from one space fan to another, tell your husband thank you very much for your service.
Me too, have you ever seen it? Look up NASAspaceflightISSsightings, it regularly passes over just about everyone. It’s the brightest thing in the sky, you just need to know when to look.
Lols, sure but spanking the monkey could get messy.
Glad to see new folks watching these. This was by far my favorite thing to watch and upload. If you like Garrett, check out Comedy Central’s Colbert Report. Garrett gives Colbert the “wriststrong” bracelet he wore in orbit.
I guess they have a satellite link.
can you watch porn on the laptop?
225 miles above Europe, nothing special…. I’d KILL TO BE UP THERE AND EXPERIENCE THIS
pretty DAMN quick
You know sometimes I forget about these guys. My husband gets deployed to Afghanistan and I’m all “support our troops”. I think we should support these guys just as much as we support our troops. They are away from family for a long time, and its very dangerous up there. They are risking their lives for the world, not just for the country. I appreciate them!! <3
can you make a video of the air machine and the solar power
0:33—0:39 What is the object to seconds ?
Currently in space, its about 10 to 3 in the afternoon
this looks awesome but i dont know if i could spend six months up there at a time, looks too cramped to be able to handle living up there for that long.
I was wondering that, some form of microwave data links perhaps?
interesting, tho I’m sure standard time is greenwich england
