CASSELBERRY, Fla. — A 6-year-old central Florida boy has died five years after he nearly drowned in a backyard pool.
Grandmother Maggie Cosmillo called the boy a “warrior” who loved Elmo.
The newspaper reported the boy received 24-hour nursing care at home until state cutbacks took most of that away. She said the last year had taken a toll on the child’s heath.
