On February 12th, 2010, Harris Decker of The Truth About Music sat down with Marky Ramone, one of the last living members of the punk band The Ramones, for a one on one interview. Marky spoke of new music and memories past. There will be more to come in the days ahead at truthaboutmusic.com but for now, here’s a clip from the interview…
Interesting (or I wouldn’t have put it up) 2008 interview in which John talks about Miles, Indian music, Floating Point and “Miles from India”. This was originally an .mp4 file – so the conversion process was “interesting” (ie a headache). Ignore any synch issues. Other than that… enjoy! I’ll have a decent rest now – until my total view stats hits half a million (early next week). My home: www.myspace.com
Video Rating: 5 / 5

Uhh… if that ain’t a wig, I don’t know what is!
“i do special DJ appearences around the world” “Yeaheah!”
@cxazy313 Joey and Johnny died from Cancer,Dee Dee died from a heroin overdose. Tommy still plays in his own band,he does country and bluegrass. CJ plays Ramones songs with his band. Richie does broadway plays and other things. Elvis ofcourse is with Blondie ect.
so what happend to the rest of them??
HA???? a wig????? Miauuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
Marky rules
Marky wears a wig accoring to Joey, as for CJ he was in the band longer than Tommy. I would consider CJ an important part of the Ramones and if you watch interviews and documentaries so would the other members.
@akahi5 and deedee. sorry i was trying to make a point and (not thinking) i forgot to mention them. no disrespect towards them. i wasnt leaving them out on purpose.
@vampirebaseball101 not to mention joey and johnny?
Whats that on his head?
@vampirebaseball101 Elvis Ramone doesn’t even count, it was Clem Burke from blondie and they just made up and gave him the name Elvis Ramone. If I’m correct I think he was supposed to play 3 shows with the ramones but couldn’t play as fast as Tommy or Marky and was released/quit after the 2nd show. I would never call Clem a ramone.
hair looks so soft
@BrickUnit, wasnt there someone else named elvis ramone? i read that somewhere. but i guess cj and richie dont really matter because they didnt last in the band very long. every time someone talks about the ramones they only mention tommy and marky. the real members. but i also agree on your other comment about the mic.
Also there are 4 ramones left, Marky, Tommy, Cj and Richie
if your gonna interview the legendary marky ramone then at least get a mic
What’s Marky think of CJ? CJ’s coming my way in a couple of weeks. He has the voice, Marky does awesome with the drums.
Allan Holdsworth,Frank Gambale,Shawn Lane and John Mclaughlin are my favorite guitarists of all time.God bless keep the good music alive.
When John´s asked about Shrinivas (07.29), the sub-title shows how tricky and misleading sometimes translations can be …the german subtitle says ” Gewiss 200%” and John means “…to a certain degree”…shit happens, but even more when our attention fails to be there where it should.
Anyway, how great to still have John around to show us the way to the muse…

Thank you for this ! Is this the whole interview, or is there more material to be seen anywhere ?

@avs – Here’s one towards your half-million target!
Good upload, thanks.
I can just learn what I read through within the forms.
