300 Economists lend support to ‘Occupy Wall Street’ [Dated November 13th 2011]

From: Press TV 300 economists lend support to Occupy Wall Street Fri Dec 2, 2011 4:22PM GMT On November 13th 2011, economists from the University of Massachusetts Amherst issued an open statement pledging support to the Occupy Wall Street movement. Since then, more than about 300 economists from around the world have added their names. Econ4 has now assembled the list of 300 economists who support Occupy Wall Street and the 99 Percent’s struggle for economic justice. Some of these economists are featured in a new video about what’s wrong with the economy and why they support the protesters. thinkprogress.org The announcement reads: “We are economists who oppose ideological cleansing in the economics profession. Equally we oppose political cleansing in the vital debate over the causes and consequences of our current economic crisis.” “We support the efforts of the Occupy Wall Street movement across the country and across the globe to liberate the economy from the short-term greed of the rich and powerful one percent.” “We oppose cynical and perverse attempts to misuse our police officers and public servants to expel advocates of the public good from our public spaces.” “We extend our support to the vision of building an economy that works for the people, for the planet, and for the future, and we declare our solidarity with the Occupiers who are exercising our democratic right to demand economic and social justice.” www.presstv.ir

Uh huh. So you see a mathematical reality as a threat? Isn’t it obvious that A) Another source/s of habitable and exploitable terrain would be needed as collateral on the debts, and B) Without significant expenditure into space travel and exploration, let alone colonization, extraterrestrials would have to appear to legally provide and pledge said terrain as collateral? Otherwise, where’s the collateral going to legally come from?

I don’t doubt that YOU would stay home and whack off all day to cartoons. I truly believe that is what you would do. Nothing wrong with your statement because thats what you have been taught to think.

  3. 007chucknorris007 says:

I backed up my claim with logic, “If everyone is provided with what they need, why would anyone want to work at all. I could sit at home and beat off to cartoons all day and get something for nothing.”

Could you do the same, possibly point out why you think my statement is wrong.

  4. 007chucknorris007 says:

“The 1% better hope aliens exist to tow in other planets to pay them”

Sounds like a threat to me.

  5. AussieGriffin says:

Did I call for any action against people based on how much “wealth” they have? If you straw-man attack me, you better try harder than that.

Quote: I wish we could live in a world where everyone has what they need, but we can’t it won’t work.

That’s all in your head and many others also. Placed there by people that wish to get you to work so they can feed off you.

  8. 007chucknorris007 says:

As for what you said about technology, it does eliminate jobs, but it also creates jobs. How does it do that? Well, somebody has to supervise the machines, somebody has to make the machines, somebody has to repair the machines, and somebody has to break the machines down to be recycled when they are broken. It eliminates back-breaking manual labor jobs, but it also creates new technology related jobs. (I didn’t list every single job that it creates.)

  9. 007chucknorris007 says:

Think about that rationally once. If everyone is provided with what they need, why would anyone want to work at all. I could sit at home and beat off to cartoons all day and get something for nothing. See, the you can’t get something from nothing, so how is that good/service provided? It is provided at the unwilling expense of others, that’s called stealing. I wish we could live in a world where everyone has what they need, but we can’t it won’t work.

I know it may be easy to blame a group of people for the country’s problems, Hitler did that to the Jews, now we have people like Barrack Obama blaming the country’s problems on the rich. I am NOT saying that Obama=Hitler, but they are both using similar brainwashing tactics, not to the same extent obviously. The bailouts were wrong, but the banks aren’t entirely to blame, who was behind the bailouts? The answer is Barrack Obama and the Government.

  11. 007chucknorris007 says:

Lets start a class warfare, that will unite us. Every time a country turns against itself, it ends in a pile of skulls. i.e. The Civil War, the Holocaust, Rwandan genocide, etc. It doesn’t work. Why do you hate people that have more than you? If you aren’t rich, you only have yourself to blame. Sure, getting rich may be harder for some than for others. But let me ask you this, who is more productive: the person who employs 100 people or the welfare mom with 12 kids?

Ya, exactly – Mark Pittman is one of the few reporters to sue the federal reserve and win (backed by bloomberg news) and he has a heart attack right before the big story.

Note bloomberg news just came out (late nov) with the data on the federal reserve total bailout out package in 08 and 09 — 7.7 trillion (LOLOL). 10X Tarp. google it.

Thanks Mark and bloomberg for revealing federal reserves crimes against humanity. Unfortunatley the sheep don’t get it.

  17. CosmosPrivateer says:

    What happen to Mark Pittman?????

    He’s Dead

  18. CosmosPrivateer says:

As we advance our technology we will continue to eliminate jobs. It’s the bottom line that matters at any business. Our current economic system will not work in the near future.

As an intelligent people would we not be working towards not working? If we would share the work load more evenly and make sure everyone is provided what they need to survive here we would have a much nicer planet.

Brothers and sisters-the time of austerity is upon us. Get used to living in the streets. Get used to having nothing-no education-no jobs-no heath care-no social security-no retirement-no home-no future. When the banks and republicans take everything that’s exactly what you’ll have-nothing!

Excellent. Everyone who’s on board: Redistribute widely. Adds credibility and weight to the Occupy movement – especially for those who are observing mainstream coverage of the movement and are getting the mistaken impression that it only consists of a large group of kids camping in parks (many of whom I know personally to be wonderful, smart, thoughtful, motivated kids :-) ).

Peace has no place in the equation when humanity has successfully destroyed all chances for the worlds ecosystems to return to normal. Blame it on the energy companies that suppressed technology in order to keep their profits going for their fake monetary scheme. I would love to see this all turned around but unfortunately most of the human race suffers from a narcissistic personality disorder (self centered). Prepare all you want but you are a living corpse at this point, please don’t have kids

you’re a complete delusional moron if you entertain ideas of peace and prosperity for the braindead masses, my friend after this paradigm shift the only thing left of humanity will be random pools of human sludge left on the ground. I hear you say “Why?” Well my ill informed friend turns out we humans committed biocide, with all those nuclear reactors leaking all their waste into our ecosystems doing irreversible damage. Sorry to say but their is no future. Goodnight sleep tight.

I have the same fears. Although i’m a bit more worried about anonymous being …..anonymous? How are we suppose to know the “good” guy (which doesn’t exist) over the enemy? Maybe our freedom fighters are just another gate for the lies and deceit. I like to believe anonymous is out there for humanity, the common man, and the protection of our world. But I can’t seem to get past my instincts telling me to be cautious.

  42. kellerr13 says:

My only concern is the events you describe may in fact be exactly what the banksters want to happen. If that is the case, we could potentially be helping them.

The system will fall worldwide this year !!!
After that we will live in peace, and we will give each other, just as nature wanted it.
Nature gives and people share …NOT SELL WITH MONEY !
We will do things again out of love for each other.
Money is not a natural thing, and everything that is not natural has a side effect or it will disappear.
    Love is all, Nature rulezzz!
