There were loads of subtext throughout the film but it didnt all connect. And the score was so awkward. Not that weird song they played but the actual score. Number one it wasnt an original score for this movie which was distracting esp since part of it was an oscar winning score the social network. And two it was thrown in at the oddest times.I feel that this is a good movie for one veiwing a second or third will reveal that it wasnt as good or as much fun as it seemed originally.
What movie did you see…?”lots of cars driving around really fast” There were about two scenes that had cars driving fast. Not that it matters to me but I just dont get where you got that from. I think this was a pretty good movie for the majority, a pretty clumsy movie in parts, and a great movie for a minority of the time. I really think that the last act made it seem much better than it was.
This movie was great. I loved the vintage style it had. It didn’t have much dialogue but instead does a great job on emphasizing the emotion of the characters and overall feel in each scene. I know some people my take off points for a particularly graphic scene, but IMO it captures greatly how devoted the protagonist is to protecting his loved ones.

“He (Ryan Gosling) brings the HEAT, he brings the TRUTH.” Amen…and you shouldve mentioned how AWESOME that soundtrack was. Best movie of the year and the soundtrack makes the whole movie experience of Drive even better. One of the best of this year and definitely one of the most heart-breaking.
