@fredstmoritz I have driven by the Garden Drive-In in Hunlock Creek while they were showing a movie! The Moon(Port) Drive-In is still open on US rte 220 west of Williamsport!

I remember going to the drive in with my family and friends in the mid 60s.Even as cheap as it was,we always snuck a few of us kids through in the trunk.Someone else mentioned the fact that the kids wore P.J.s which I forgot about.There was always two movies and cartoons etc and the show would run late so we had blankets and pillows all ready to go.All that entertainment for a few bucks.Great memories.

The drive in theater experience is enhanced by the showing of these classic intermission clips. I recently attended a showing at the Lakeland, FL SILVER MOON. They even showed classic clips before the movioe began! Thanks for posting , always fun to watch. Persnally, I’d rather miss a part of the movie than one of these gems.
Damn, those were the Days. I never thought that i would be using them. But here i am. In this Modern Day Hustle and Bustle, it sure would be nice to take the Family out on a Gorgeous Bug Ridden,Steaming Summer Night to the Drive-In. Fifty Cents or a $1.50 a Car Load. The Drive-In I used to go to when on vacation had an intermission ad just like the first film here, same announcer, obviously the same source, only the refreshments were on a “mountain” instead of a “machine”, any chance of finding that? It would bring back memories.

Ahhh.. the drive in (we had one in Webster, NY-STARLIGHT). Does anyone remember that short film from the 1960′s of a family going through a car wash in a convertable? STARLIGHT closed in maybe 1979 to make room for the crappy LOWES mutiplex in 1982. TDTESS- a classic, perhaps one of the best SF 1950′s movies, the music itself was terrific. Please ignore the remake w/ the soulless K. Reeves.
